Want to spend your days surrounded by funnel cake stands and within walking distance of amazing thrill rides? The only thing as enjoyable as coming to The Kentucky State Fair is working for the Kentucky State Fair! Be a part of all the fun, and get paid for it! Wages start at $7.25 an hour, and vary with position. Temporary positions are available from August 17th through August 28th. The Kentucky State Fair runs Thursday, August 18th through Sunday, August 28th.Hiring will take place on Monday, August 8th, through Friday, August 12th in South Wing C of the Kentucky Exposition Center. It will continue Saturday, August 13th through Sunday, August 28th at the Kentucky State Fair Employment Trailer located near Gate 4 of the Kentucky Exposition Center off Crittenden Drive. Here are the times and locations that you can drop off your application:
Monday, August 8 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. (South Wing C)
Tuesday, August 9 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. (South Wing C)
Wednesday, August 10 - Friday, August 12 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. (South Wing C)
Saturday, August 13 - Monday, August 15 8a.m. - 4 p.m. (Gate 4)
Tuesday, August 16 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. (Gate 4)
Wednesday, August 17 - Thursday, August 18 6 a.m. - midnight (Gate 4)
Friday, August 19 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. (Gate 4)
Saturday, August 20 6 a.m. - midnight (Gate 4)
Sunday, August 21 - Friday, August 26 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. (Gate 4)
Saturday, August 27 6 a.m. - midnight (Gate 4)
Sunday, August 28 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. (Gate 4)
Unfortunately, you have to be at least 18 to apply. (Sorry teens, try again in a few years!) Applicants must have proper identification to verify work eligibility, such as a photo ID and a Social Security Card or a passport. No expired documents will be accepted! For additional information, call (502) 367-5235 for the Employment Trailer. Temporary jobs will also be available after the Fair. Those interested in working after Aug. 28th can apply at the Kentucky Exposition Center’s administrative office in the front of Freedom Hall. Come and be a part of all the fun!
